The latest single produced, written, and composed by Rodrigo Cotelo will be available in all streaming platforms September 1st 2023. It features a cast of renowned musicians, arrangers, engineers, and designers in a multi year project that bring to light Rodrigo’s first single release.
Rodrigo’s trio “RC Trio” just released its debut album “Live by Creekside” recorded live at Creekside Music in Frankfort, IN, on August 6th 2021. Said Rodrigo on the project:
“We seriously take the risk of exploring the boundaries of the music in play, but we are also pushing our capacity as musicians to stretch the imagination of the divergent avenues that we could travel within the vehicle of the composition as far as we can”.
2019 Jazz International Songwriting Competition Semi-Finalist!
The composition “Leaps and Bounces” composed by Rodrigo Cotelo has been selected as a Semi-Finalist in the Jazz category of the 2019 International Songwriting Competition. Among others, the jurors consisted of Kenny Garrett, Danilo Perez, Peter Erskine, Gordon Goodwin, and saxophonist Ted Nash.
This is now the fourth time (third in Jazz, the other one in Blues) Rodrigo has been recognized by the prestigious Nashville based International Songwriting Competition.
Rodrigo has been nominated to two Graffiti Awards 2021 (voted by the Uruguayan press). “Analysis Paralysis” (Composition, Production, Guitars) for “Best Hard Rock / Metal Album”; and “Moments and Fragments” (Composition, Production, Guitars) for “Best Jazz Fusion Album”
